- In a big bowl add the flour, salt and baking powder. Stir to combine the ingredients.
- Then add the maas and the vegetable oil. You can now use your hands or a KitchenAid with the hook attachment to mix everything together.
- Once you have formed a nice dough, knead it for a couple of minutes until smooth. Then shape it into a ball and pop it back into the bowl. Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel or some plastic wrap and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Take the dough out and then press it down onto a floured surface before cutting it into 8 equal wedges. Shape each one into a golf ball-sized dough ball and set them aside.
- Lightly grease a pan then place it on the stove over a medium heat. Roll each dough ball out using a rolling pin so that they form mini-flatbreads. Then place each one, one at a time, into the hot pan.
- Cook for about 40 seconds, then flip it and leave it to cook for about 1 minute before flipping it again. You will see air bubbles in the dough.
- When the flatbread has some nice golden marks on it, it’s ready to come out.
- You can serve them with a variety of toppings, like cream cheese, pan-fried cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, salt and pepper. Enjoy!
