Is there added sugar in milk?

You are here:

No. The sugar in milk comes from lactose, which is naturally present in milk. Whereas fat levels may differ in different types of milk, all milk (fat-free, low-fat and full-cream milk) has virtually the same amount of naturally occurring lactose i.e. ≈ 4,8% – about 12 grams per glass of milk (250 ml).
