SAMPRO has come out a winner with two trophies at the International Dairy Federation’s annual dairy
innovation awards. It was named winner of the best generic dairy marketing campaign with its consumer education project of Milk SA.
It beat out Federation des Producteurs de lait du Quebec, from Canada, with its Cream campaign and the Luxlait Association from Luxembourg with its Vitarium campaign.
SAMPROs cow-dealer entry also won as best consumer TV/cinema advertisement or social networking marketing campaign. It beat out Gujarat Cooperative Milk from India with the Amul Master Chef TV campaign and Federation des Producteurs de lait du Quebec from Canada with its Milk campaign.
The awards attracted more than 100 entries from 25 countries in 14 categories ranging from products, to
packaging, marketing and environmental sustainability.
In the best new dairy drink, Fair Cape Dairies from South Africa, with Rooiboost shots, was a finalist in the category won by Inner Mongolia Mengniu Dairy Group from China, with Xinyangdau.
Fair Cape was also a finalist in the best new functional dairy product with its Rooibos Yogurt. The category was won by Parmalat Australia with Vaalia Innergy.
